Project Description
The project's overall objective encompasses the research, innovation, development, and pilot testing required to create new treatment and diagnostic methods based on high-power lasers, as well as their dissemination to the medical community and the medical equipment industry for large-scale implementation (knowledge and technology transfer).
The primary aim of the proposed project is to improve cancer treatment and diagnostic methods. The main activities of the Dr. LASER project focus on the construction and research-oriented operation of three experimental demonstration setups; these are designed for the study, validation (proof-of-concept), development, and preclinical testing—using phantoms and simple biomedical models—of high-power laser applications with significant social impact.
